Setting up an AWS account

In order to create a personal AWS account.

 1. Go to Amazon WS link and give an email id, password and an AWS account name. 
2. Select a professional or personal account. Add the personal information and click on the check to
option to agree to the terms and conditions. 
3. The next page will get you to enter the debit or credit card details. The service we use to test is part of free trial. We can set up a budget alarm later to make sure there are no charges. 
4. Choose a text message or a call. 
5. After the verification is complete. The support plan needs to be chosen. Select a basic plan which is FREE of cost. 
6. Sign in to the console with the credentials entered in the first step.
7. Takes us to the ‘Amazon Management Console’ page.
8. Set a budget alarm here under the user name
9. Go to budgets 
10. Create a new budget, choose cost budget, Give it a name, recurring budget, start this month, the budget amount. I have chosen 5$. 
11. Select configure an alert, where the AWS notifies us when the threshold is reached. For a 5$ budget I chose 50%, which will be 2.5$ threshold. 
12. Confirm the budget . You can adjust the value later as well. This will make sure there are no unexpected charges to the AWS account.
